Eric Kennedy

Eric Kennedy is a senior at Case Western Reserve University dual-majoring in biology and philosophy with an eye to continuing on to medical school. In 2003 he was a Fellow of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute SPUR program where he conducted genetic experiments comparing fruit fly and human evolution in order to gain insight into a mutation that causes neuromuscular disorders in humans.

Kennedy has earned a role of quiet, thoughtful leadership among his fellow students due to his disarming capacity to unwaveringly consider the deepest human questions. He has the rare ability to disagree on important issues while maintaining unquestionable respect for all concerned. On Sunday Oct 17, Kennedy will discuss his admiration for Darwin's Origin of Species and his own views on how his understanding of the natural world through science strengthens his Christian faith.
